BEDROCK GRAVEL FESTIVAL

The Race

The Bedrock Gravel “Race” will START and FINISH from The Feed Zone Cafe in Tochni, in front of Activate’s Cyprus main office. The route is not signed, therefore every participant must download the route on his/her own navigation device and follow it. Make sure you follow the entire route as its published below in Komoot. You must follow the trafic roules at all the time!!!

    1. Each participant is responsible for its own safety along the race route. The Cyprus highway code must be respected. Helmet is mandatory. Each rider is responsible for ensuring that they possess adequate medical insurance.

    2. There will be no signage on the route. You are responsible to follow the route on your navigation device. MAKE SURE THAT YOU UPLOAD THE ROUTE TO YOUR GPS DEVICE. Failure to complete the whole route will result your appearance in the results as DNF (Did Not Finish)

    3. This is a gravel race on open to traffic roads! Please follow the traffic rules!

    4. On the way there are many points that we come from a gravel (secondary road) to a main road! On these occasions. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE ENTERING THE MAIN ROAD SAFELY AND AFTER CHECKING THAT NO CARS ARE COMING FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE MAIN ROAD!

    5. There will be 3 feed stations in the Long Distance: The first one at 41km, the 2nd at 70.3km and the 3rd one at 93.5 km of the route. There will be 1 feed stations in the Middle Distance: at 45.2km of the route. The feed stations are also checkpoints. Each participant can stop anywhere on the way to get more food or liquids.

    6. All participants must at all times take care of them selves and respect other participants or road users.

    7. Winner is the rider that has completed at least the entire length of the route and has the the fastest time.

    8. Mechanical assistance: All riders should bring their own tools and spare tire or tubular to the race. Basic tools will be available in the feed zones to give riders the opportunity to fix other problems. Riders can change wheels during the event, but have to use the same bike frame throughout the event.

    9. The participants may be required to share their location at all times during the Bedrock race on Saturday 26th April. This will be possible through any mobile phone application that tracks the position of the rider.
