Recon Camp
Recon the race routes in a more relaxed pace.. Long hours in the saddle, sunshine and seaside hotel! On a 3-day Training Recon Camp we will take you on the routes of Cyprus Gran Fondo in a nice pace so that you an enjoy the scenery and see the main points of the races.
Days with low traffic mountain roads that are perfect for training - watch out for the occasional herd of goats! On the way we will pass by stone-built villages untouched by time, ancient historical landmarks dating back to the first Greek colonisation, the rugged Paphos forest roads, luscious vineyards of Omodos and the glistening blue mediterranean waters of Aphrodite’s Rock. We finish off our training recon camp with the actual race of UCI Cyprus Gran Fondo, a qualifier event for the World Championship of Gran Fondo.

Train on some of the most scenic routes Cyprus has to offer, through sun-drenched vines, olive groves and carob fields.
Ride past the Birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of beauty and love as well as Hasamboulia Rock, a legendary location linked with Cyprus’ historical tales.
Fuel up with the most authentic traditional meals, that are well suited for long training days.

Average to Expert
This camp requires a good fitness level, the ability to ride on consecutive days and good bike handling skills. But make no mistake, you need not be an expert, the goal is to get there!
