#2 Stay in an Authentic Traditional Village

Forget massive hotels and crowded lobbies. The heart of our festival is Tochni, a small, peaceful village with only 350 residents. You will stay in beautiful, stone-built agritourism houses that offer a cozy and tranquil atmosphere. Each day starts with a delicious traditional breakfast made with fresh, local organic products to fuel your ride.

    Did you know? Cyprus has a tradition in Wine. The steep grades you’ve been climbing and the rocky paths full of stone and clay you’ve been rolling over make for excellent terroir!

  • Basket Weaving Workshop

    In the neighbouring community of Choirokitia you will find a renovated old traditional house of 1850 which converted into a Basket Weaving Workshop and Museum. There you find unique exhibits. You will watch how they are made from the hands of Mr. Petros Nikolaou who is the heart of the place.

  • Yoga Sessions

    Nothing like starting your day with a good stretch, a deep breath and an appreciation of the sun and breeze

  • Local Microbrewery

    Post Race Beers are good for the health. Especially if they come from an award winning microbrewery!

  • The Master of the Grill

    In greek we say that the way to someone’s heart, passes through the stomach. Well tonight you’re gonna love us! Vegetarians included!

  • Hallumi Making (for non-riders)

    A visit to a local goat farm will convince you that Cyprus still has a strong bond to its tradition. Loulla will show us how halloumi is made, and if we time it well we might get to taste it fresh and warm as it comes out of the cooking pot!

We have created two unique experiences for you. You can choose the 7-day "Cyprus on a Gravel Bike" adventure to fully immerse yourself in the nature and culture of the island. Alternatively, join the 4-day "Taste of Gravel" getaway for a shorter but equally immersive escape where you can even learn local crafts like basket weaving!

  • 09:00 Long Gravel Ride #Getitoutofyoursystem. Today we ride north in the Valley of White Rocks. We’ll pass from the limestone villages of Lefkara and Kato Drys looping back to Tochni through quiet gravel roads and goat paths. Watch out for the occasional herd.
