Long Route:
From the bustling center of the city, you’ll head straight into the heart of the Macheras Mountains in the southern Nicosia region. The ride takes you through tiny villages, peaceful pine forests, and some of the most beautiful gravel stretches anywhere on the island — with amazing views back toward the city.

As you pass Fikardou, Lazanias, and Farmakas, the wild scenery is so impressive you’ll definitely want to stop for photos (and you should!). At the highest point of the route, around 1370m, the descent begins. You’ll roll down toward Macheras Monastery and then into the village of Lythrodontas before hitting the final timed section, which ends near Halepianes (just after Kotsiatis).

From there, it’s an easy spin back to the starting point, where good music, tasty food, cold beer, and plenty of stories from fellow riders will be waiting for you.

RESULTS

1. Each participant is responsible for its own safety along the race route. The Cyprus highway code must be respected. Helmet is mandatory. Each rider is responsible for ensuring that they possess adequate medical insurance.

2. There will be no signage on the route. You are responsible to follow the route on your navigation device. MAKE SURE THAT YOU UPLOAD THE ROUTE TO YOUR GPS DEVICE. Failure to complete the whole route will result your appearance in the results as DNF (Did Not Finish)

3. This is a gravel race on open to traffic roads! Please follow the traffic rules!

4. On the way there are many points that we come from a gravel (secondary road) to a main road! On these occasions. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE ENTERING THE MAIN ROAD SAFELY AND AFTER CHECKING THAT NO CARS ARE COMING FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE MAIN ROAD!

5. There will be 2 feed stations along the Long route: The first one at 50km and the 2nd at 74.6km of the route. The feed stations are also checkpoints. Each participant can stop anywhere on the way to get more food or liquids.

6. All participants must at all times take care of them selves and respect other participants or road users.

7. Winner is the rider that has completed at least the entire length of the route and has the the fastest time.

8. Mechanical assistance: All riders should bring their own tools and spare tire or tubular to the race. Basic tools will be available in the feed zones to give riders the opportunity to fix other problems. Riders can change wheels during the event, but have to use the same bike frame throughout the event.

9. The participants may be required to share their location at all times during the Nicosia Gravel Adventure on Sunday 30th November. This will be possible through any mobile phone application that tracks the position of the rider.
