Join us for a lifetime Mountainbike experience at Troodos Mountainous range in the heart of Cyprus. The Troodos and Tochni MTB route takes you on a trip across Cyprus Mountains from the heart of Cyprus to the western part of the mountains, using carefully selected forest roads and single trails, with long climbs and thrilling descents, breath-taking scenery and challenging terrain along the whole route.
Remote places, tiny villages, small wineries, old churches and chapels will be adding to your Cyprus tradition and country life experience. Not long into the tour, you will start feeling the warmth and the welcoming spirit of the locals in the Cyprus countryside. This Mountaibike tour takes you through some of the most authentic places in Cyprus, the Troodos villages, the famous Venetian bridges, abandoned or remote villages where you can witness how the locals enjoy an alternative lifestyle in tranquility and harmony with nature and unspoilt beauty. The terrain of this tour is a varied mix of long climbs, single-trails, long descents and short flat sections. We will, mainly, be riding on soil and rocky terrain that never gets muddy and has great traction in the fast sections.
During some of our rides, we will be stopping in selected prestigious wineries to taste some of the best local wines including the oldest named wine in the world, the Commandaria, which is produced exclusively in Cyprus and dates back to the ancient Greeks time. Legend has it that it was served at the wedding of King Richard the Lionheart to Berengaria of Navarre! Our itinerary will also include culinary experience to taste various local dishes, which will vary depending on the area and the time of the year. Fresh vegetable, local herbs and spices are used to enrich the taste of the exquisite Cyprus cuisine. Meze dishes, Ttavas, Afelia, Mousakas, Souvlaki, Ofto, Koupepia are some of the dishes that will be put the icing on the cake of your Cyprus MTB experience!
We know how important is to keep enjoying the trip when finally you are at the end of a biking day. That is why we try to keep a great atmosphere by selecting the accommodation along the route that will fulfil or even exceed your expectations. Accommodation is included in this package and it is mainly in traditional houses or small village hotels with quiet and warm atmosphere.

Arrival in Larnaka airport, transfer to Troodos. After a short introduction and briefing we prepare the bikes and go for a short-ish 2-3 hours ride. We ride to Olympus, the peak of Mt. Troodos and ride in the great singletrails around the peak. We have dinner at the hotel.
We start from Troodos square and ride through - mostly - forest roads (wide trails) to 2 or 3 of the Troodos waterfalls. We end our ride either in Platres or Trimiklini village and get a car shuttle back to Troodos. Dinner in a Taverna in Platres or Kakopetria villages.
A long ride to the stone build Venetian bridges of the Diarizos valley and it's rivers who run throughout the year! By now I will know your technical skills level so this ride will be through a long series of singletrails day or forest roads. We get a car shuttle back to Troodos. We have dinner at the hotel or at a local tavern.
We start our ride from Troodos and we descend through singletrails and forest roads to lower ground with the target of reaching Limassol. We get a shuttle to our accommodation in a traditional guesthouse in Tochni village. Dinner in a Taverna in Tochni.
We start our day early with a shuttle to the top of Macheras Mountain and ride some of the great singletrails and forest roads used in the Cyprus Sunshine Cup.
Starting from Tochni we are heading towards Lefkara village. On the way we will have a “Halloumi (Cyprus cheese) tasting” before we pass through Kato Drys village. In Lefkara we are already at the highest point of the route so most of the way back will be descending next to Dipotamos Dam, passing through Skarinou to reach Tochni again.
On our last day on the bike we will have a long coastal ride along the White rocks of Governors beach before we pass next to Amathous Archeological site and finally reach the Limassol Marina for a coffee. The way back is easy and enjoyable.
Bus transfer to Larnaca airport and a bittersweet farewell! This was indeed a once in a lifetime experience!
